Step 1: Start by drawing Rick's head. Draw two circles overlapping in the middle for the head. Next for Morty’s head a circle will do. Add two smaller circles on either side of the head for the ears.
Step 2: Add two curved lines where two circles (Rick’s head) come together for the neck. Add two smaller half circles on either side of the head for the ears on Morty’s head.
Step 3: Draw Rick's eyes. Add two circle-shaped eyes starting above the ears, and add pupils towards the sides of each eye. Draw under eye lines in the shape of a half a circle, under each eye. Rick's forehead has one deep line and one light light above, you can accent it by making the deep one thicker. Draw Morty’s eyes. Add two circle-shaped eyes placing their middle where the top of the ear is. Pupils are in the middle. To give him a scarred/ concerned look we’ll shape his eyebrows in half circles. Right one arched and aimed towards the middle of his forehead. Left one will be an upside down half-circle laying on top of the left eye on the left side.
Step 4: Add Rick's mouth. Draw an oval starting and finishing at where the outer edge of the eyes are. add two curved lines on either side of his mouth for lines. Draw a small oval top of the third bottom tooth for his tongue. Erase bottoms of Mortys eyes, just where the bottom curves.
Step 5: Draw Rick's hair. Add spiky hair on top of his head, and draw hair on the sides of his head as well. Rick's hair is messy and unkempt, so don't worry about making it look perfect. Draw straight lines at the bottom of Mortys eyes, where you erased the circles. Add a nose in the shape of a half oval slightly open towards the top. Draw a half circle on the left side of Morty’s face where a raised mouth would be giving a laugh line.
Step 6. Time to add details and color! Drawing Mortys mouth as shown, the trick is keeping it an oval on the left and connecting a small circle on the right. Color Morty’s mouth black, and his skin light brown or beige. Morty’s hair is brown. Color Rick’s hair light blue and for fun make his deep forehead line the same blue as his hair. Color inside of Rick’s mouth black and his tongue red. Don’t forget due to an unhealthy lifestyle Rick’s skin color is gray!
