Hi everybody and welcome to a new tutorial on theNIL-tech, this time entitled"How to draw a bird, Bald eagle”.The bald eagle is both the national bird and a nationwide animal of the United States of America. The bald eagle appears on its seal. In the late 20th century it was on the edge of extirpation in the contiguous United States. Populations have actually since recovered and the types were gotten rid of from the U.S. government's list of endangered species on July 12, 1995 and moved to the list of threatened species. It was removed from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in the Lower 48 States on June 28, 2007.
1. THEY CAN SWIM ... SORT OF.
There are several videos online-- that shows a bald eagle swimming. Eagles have hollow bones and fluffy down, so they can float pretty well. However, why swim instead of soar? Sometimes, an eagle will swoop down and grab an especially weighty fish, then paddle it to shore to consume.
2. BALD EAGLES SOUND SO SILLY THAT HOLLYWOOD DUBS OVER THEIR VOICES.
It's a scene you've most likely seen countless times in movies and on TV: An eagle flies overhead and gives off a rough, piercing scream. It's a classic sign of wilderness and adventure. The only issue? Bald eagles do not make that sound.
Instead, they release a sort of high-pitched laugh or a weak scream. These sounds are so unimpressive that Hollywood sound editors often call over bald eagle calls with even more impressive sounds: the piercing, earthy screams of a smaller bird, the red-tailed hawk.
3. BALD EAGLES USUALLY MATE FOR LIFE ...
They're pretty romantic animals. Bald eagles tend to pair for life, and they share parenting duties: The male and the female take turns nurturing the eggs, and they both feed their young.
4. ... AND THEY LIVE PRETTY LONG LIVES.
Those romantic collaborations are even more excellent due to the fact that bald eagles can make it through for decades. In 2015, a wild eagle in Henrietta, New York, passed away at the record age of 38. Thinking about that these birds pair at 4 or 5 years of age, that's a lot of Valentine's Days.
5. THEY MIGRATE ... SORT OF.
If you're a bald eagle that nests in northern Canada, you'll most likely head south for the winter to prevent the penalizing cold. Lots of eagles fly south for the winter season and return north for the summer season-- as do lots of other bird species (and retired Canadians). However, not all bald eagles migrate. A few of them, consisting of people in New England and Canada's Maritime provinces, remain all year. Whether a bird migrates depends on how old it is and just how much food is available.
