In this tutorial, we'll dive into the delightful world of doodles and hand lettering. Using fineliners, you have the freedom to choose your desired size, but for a start, let's go with a 1mm one. We'll explore the top 4 emotions you've been experiencing lately – grab your journal or notepad! Remember, there's no right or wrong here, just genuine expression.
We'll begin by drawing four doodles that represent pedestals for our emotions. The first is a paintbrush with a colorful stroke. The second, a cluster of clouds, a mix of short and long ones. Third, a post-it note taped up, and finally, a banner. Now, the fun part begins – let's bring these pedestals to life with colors that resonate with your emotions.
Take a moment to unpack your emotions. Start with "Happy" and list the things that make you feel that way. Then, move on to "Anger," "Kindness," and "Sadness," delving into why these emotions are with you. Don't underestimate the power of speaking them out loud – it's liberating!
Next, we'll venture into pure hand lettering. Choose emotions you want to explore, release, or simply acknowledge. Use two colors, they can be opposites or compliments. Write your chosen emotion boldly in color, then overlay it with finer lines using a fineliner (0.5 or 0.3 works perfectly).
For me, it's "Jealousy," a current emotion I'm working through. "Smile" is next, something I'd like to embrace more. "Confusion" has been a constant lately, perhaps a part of growing older or focusing too closely on my issues. Lastly, there's "Love" – the eternal driving force behind everything I do, today and always.
Let's create and let go, one stroke at a time! 🎨🖋️💭💕
Stay tuned for exciting tutorials, inspiring stories, and the joy of doodling, all with the aim of helping you unleash your inner artist. Welcome to a world of endless possibilities!
